Buyers To Do List for Prequalification

We are super excited that you want to qualify for a home of your own!

Here are the typical items that your lender will ask for. Make sure you do NOT add debt while you are in the loan qualification process and especially when you have identified the home you want and are in escrow!  Even a new credit card could throw your numbers off. Wait to make big purchases until AFTER your home closed escrow!  We partner with several good lenders and will be happy to offer their contact info to you or shop for your own lender.  Your option. Just know that lenders costs vary and you want everything disclosed to you that they will charge for funding your loan.  No surprises.  Full disclosure up front!  

2 years Tax Returns (all pages)

  • 2 years of W2s
  • 2 months bank statements (all pages, even blank ones)
  • 2 paystubs (most recent 30 days’ worth)
  • Driver’s License (copy of each applicants)
  • *If applicable: Real estate you own: recent mortgage statement, Ins. statement, and HOA statement
  • *If applicable: Self-employed: 2 years business returns and K1’s
